At the successful first WTC MeetUp! at WTC The Hague, The Hague businesses and the Municipality of The Hague signed a letter of intent to work together to reduce their waste. WTC The Hague is joining the Green Business Club Beatrixkwartier to put the first measures in place before the end of 2019. Facilitated by Simeon Tienpont, finalist in the Volvo Ocean Race, the executive directors of RVO, MN, WTC The Hague, PostNL, Jacobs, FMO, Innovation Quarter, the Tax Authority, Bouwinvest and The Hague Business Agency signed the letter of intent. Research shows that in the Netherlands alone, 60 million kilos of waste is thrown away every year. This amounts to 73 million euros of resources. About 20 percent of this waste comes from offices.
